About Company

Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd. कंपनी की स्थापना 1 November, 1975 को बिहार के पटना में एक प्राइवेट लिमिटेड कंपनी के रूप में हुई थी। उसके बाद में 20 May, 2025 को इसे पब्लिक लिमिटेड कंपनी में बदल दिया गया।

इसका मुख्य पंजीकृत(Registered) कार्यालय रांची, झारखंड में स्थित है। इसके मुख्य Promoter भारत के राष्ट्रपति (कोयला मंत्रालय के माध्यम से) और कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड (CIL) हैं।

कोयला, Lignite और अन्य खनिजों (जैसे Bauxite, Manganese) की खोज के लिए 2D/3D Seismic Survey और Drilling करता है। माइन प्लानिंग और डिजाइन से खदानों की पूरी रूपरेखा तैयार करना है और उनके संचालन की योजना बनाता है। पर्यावरण प्रबंधन (Environmental Management), बुनियादी ढांचा Engineering, Geomatric और प्रबंधन प्रणालियाँ बनता है। वित्त वर्ष 2025 में भारतीय खनन परामर्श (Counseling) क्षेत्र में इसकी 61.0% बाजार हिस्सेदारी थी।

कंपनी के पास कुल 7 क्षेत्रीय संस्थान (Regional Institutes) हैं जो आसनसोल (W.B), धनबाद (Ranchi), रांची (Jharkhand), नागपुर (Maharashtra), बिलासपुर (Chhattisgard), सिंगरौली (M.P), और भुवनेश्वर (Odisha) में स्थित हैं
